Nearly 8 weeks PP

In the past while breastfeeding I have had a few months of a break from my period after the birth of a baby. So why does it feel like, at just under 8 weeks post partum, Aunt Flo is just about to rear her oh-so-ugly face?
I have had spotting and cramping and PMS-y moments. I want everyone to just go. away. now. Just like I feel usually a few days before it starts.
I want to cry, I want to curl into a ball and hide for the next week. I am over this. Perhaps under my dark stormy cloud is a beautiful lining, like in the picture.
