No More Gilmores

What am I going to do without the Gilmore Girls? Huh? Can you tell me? I have been watching that show nearly as long as its been on, and now its over?

Tonights episode made me cry, not because it was so awesome, but because I will no longer get to see what is going on in the lives of Luke and Lorelai, Rory, Paris and Logan (so hot...)

I knew it had to happen, eventually, but in a week my little girl will be done with Kindergarten, and on her way to first grade. That has hit me so hard. As I watched Lorelai, letting Rory go off on her great adventure, I realized that before I know it Gwennie will be in school, and Rhayn is just getting bigger all of the time.

I am depressed about it all, but not in the "my heart has been ripped out of my chest" sort of way, it is more like my world is spinning so quickly, out of control that I can't stop to even check out the scenery before another rotation.

Then again, I wouldn't trade this, motherhood, for the world.

For Mother's Day I received a hand painted silk sash from Rhayn, they made them in class. I love it, and have already worn it a few times, as belt and in my hair. Will bought me some plants for the back yard, a couple of hibiscus, and some others. He and Rhayn ran out that morning to pick them up at Home Depot. It was a nice day. This a picture of me Sunday at the Heard Museum, the girls are grinding corn in the background, I am wearing my silk. It is the best gift I have received this year, I think. She was so excited to give it to me that she couldn't wait until Mother's Day, and gave it to me Friday night.

I also had my hair cut last week, and for once, I LOVE it. Seriously I have been happy about it since it was cut almost a week ago. Admittedly it was mostly a trim but I had bangs cut as well, and it works with my curl and looks cute blow dried straight. Now I need to add a little color. I am trying to decide if I want to lighten it 9highlights) or add lowlights. It is summer and we will be spending some serious time in the pool this year. I am getting a YMCA membership tomorrow, so we can swim any time we want. So Maybe I should remain dye free until the end of the summer... Oh well, I like the cut well enough that it doesn't matter! HOORRAYY!!!

I used to really like Gilmore Girls. I loved the relationship they had. I haven't watched in a couple years. It seems I ony have time for one show a week. But can understand why you will miss it.
