Dead plants aren't any more fun that dead puppies.
Remember about two months ago when I posted this post about my bell pepper plants? Well, our recent freeze killed nearly all of the green in my garden. My jalapeno plant is totally dead, but the few chilies we took from it were so hot that they burned my lips. It made some awesome guacamole and salsa, though.
As for my chocolate brown bell pepper plant? Well we did get fruit (actually I think chilies are really berries, but that is a hard one) from it. They were slightly sweet, and Gwennie ate them. She loves bell peppers, which I find amazing. (I didn't get a picture of it without any bites, because as soon as I brought it in, she grabbed and bit it!)

We too are sad about all the dead foliage around the back yard. Citrus trees that had just started producing beautiful lemons, and limes, and oranges, and grapefruit. But alas, we will wait and see if there is any life left in them. Or is it going to be back to the nursery to pick up more baby trees?
Our Swiss Chard survived the cold, and I'm anxious to see what happens with some of my new plants that were holding over for the winter, it got pretty dang cold here. But I lost all my geraniums and some of my other plants. Where did you find Chocolate bell pepper plants anyway?
Couldn't bear to leave compliments on the itchy burny post, so here it is- You are a super person. I have always admired your sense of style that sets you apart from the rest. From what I know you are a great mom who has made a great effort to bond and grow with your girls. You are artistic and write beautifully. I'm glad to have gotten to know you better via- computer.
